This is a phrase you will here often in Costa Rica as it represents the Tico way of life. We have dreamed of being able to share this magical place with you all and hope that you truly get to live the Pura Vida way even if only for a few days.
We met in middle school in Ms. Rosa's Spanish class. Miguel was a big flirt and he would distract me from class, often getting us kicked out for talking too much. When I was in 9th grade we went on our first official date to watch a terrible scary movie. From high-school into our early twenties, our lives took us on different paths but there was an undeniable connection that always brought us back together.
We travelled down to Tampa with friends for a vacation but decided to go a day early to spend a day at Clearwater beach. We landed and quickly got ready for what I thought was just a casual date night. Miguel brought wine and blanket for us to watch the sunset as we listened to music. A week before, I had mentioned to Miguel that there was a love song that made me think of us so when he stood up and played that song, I knew instantly. He got down on one knee and of course I said yes. Our journey covers almost two decades and more than half of our lifetime. It's a beautiful thing to know that many of you share a piece of that, each with your own memories and stories of us. We are so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you all. See you in Costa Rica!
