We’re getting married!

In 2016, Cassie, a single girl, is set up on a blind date with Miguel, a single boy, by friend and sorority sister Kate (and did I mention she is Miguel’s sister?). Cassie and Miguel make plans to meet up at a bar in Over the Rhine and for some reason he NEVER SHOWED UP. Cassie was disappointed but moved on, but she always wondered what happened and why he stood her up that night. TWO YEARS LATER. It’s 2018, and Cassie, still a single girl, hears again from Miguel. This entire time she knew he was around, because Cassie is still friends with his sister Kate. He apologizes for the past and asks if he can have another chance. He promises that he has changed and she will not be disappointed. Cassie actually blew off plans with another person to go out with Miguel this night. Cassie had a feeling she would have fun. They go to a New Year's Eve party at a friend's house. She’s nervous, he’s nervous; but they laugh, they have fun, and at midnight, they kiss and after that they fall head over heels in love. The next two years are filled with adventures to parks, kayaking, cabrewing, drinking craft beer, moving in together, trips to Gatlinburg and Chicago, facing a pandemic, work promotions, and welcoming his nephew to world. TWO MORE YEARS LATER It's May 2021, the height of the pandemic. Cassie and Miguel go to Chicago for Memorial Day weekend, as they did two years before in 2019. The first stop they make is Millennium Park to go see The Bean. Even though it's technically called Cloud Gate, it is Cassie's favorite tourist spot in Chicago. Cassie had a feeling this was going to be the weekend Miguel would propose, but little did she know he had it planned up his sleeve the entire time. Cassie hears Miguel say her name and she turns around and there he is; on one knee, ring in hand, and he asks her to spend the rest of her life with him. And of course, SHE SAYS YES!
