We're getting married!

Some love stories start with a grand, romantic moment—but ours started with a text message and a very unexpected date. On July 31st in 2022, Migliana’s coworker, Ashley, sent her a text out of nowhere, telling her to get ready because she had a date in an hour. She wasn’t exactly looking for one—she had a whole “me day” planned, complete with a trip to the farmer’s market and the gym. Meanwhile, Ryan had just gotten a similar setup from his coworker, who also happened to be Ashley’s boyfriend—whose name is ALSO Ryan. Neither of us knew it at the time, but our lives were about to change. Ryan sent the first text message: "Hey, it’s Ryan :) Is this Mimi?" "Yeahh" "I guess we’re going on a date in an hour?" "I guess so, lol" And just like that, our story began. Ryan picked a place called El Camino in Las Olas—a spot Migliana had never been to before. Not realizing it was a nice restaurant, she showed up in gym clothes, ready for her originally planned day, with her dog, Cleo. Ryan, on the other hand, arrived looking put together, dressed for an actual date. Migliana immediately felt underdressed, but once we sat down, all of that faded away. Ryan, Migliana and Cleo clicked instantly, and that unexpected date turned into something neither of us could have predicted. Since that first night on July 31, 2022, El Camino has become our place. We go there for happy hour, birthdays, anniversaries—you name it. One drink we always find ourselves ordering together—every. single. time.—is the spicy avocado margarita, a favorite we’ve shared since that first date. Looking back, it’s crazy to think how the best things happen when you least expect them. What started as a spontaneous blind date(-ish) setup has turned into a love story filled with laughter, Mexican food, and margaritas. And now, we can’t wait to celebrate the next chapter of our story with all of you!
