Hiking/Sightseeing at Yosemite
There are many hiking trails in Yosemite National Park, ranging from easy to strenuous. If you don't feel like hiking, there are plenty of scenic lookouts throughout the park as well! Please refer to the "Need to Know" tab for information on park passes.
Bass Lake Recreation Area
Bass Lake is a 12 minute drive from the Airbnb's we are renting!
Yosemite Axe Throwing
Release your inner rage by throwing axes at logs! The Oakhurst location now serves beer. Cost is $30 per person for 1 hour of axe throwing, or $25 per person for groups of 6 or more.
Rent a Bike!
There are more than 12 miles of paved bicycle paths in Yosemite National Park! Standard bicycles are $40 for the full day and $30 for half the day, with helmet included. Website suggests to bring bike locks, as they are not included.
Yosemite Mountain Sugar Pine Railroad
Enjoy a scenic train ride through the Sierra National Forest! They have rides ranging from 1-4 hours, and they offer food service, gold panning, a museum, and gift shop. All train rides are wheelchair accessible.
Visit a Local Winery!
The Madera American Viticulture Area impresses with various grape varieties to please many palates. Wine tasting is available at ten local wineries: Papagni Wines, Ficklin Vineyards, Westbrook Wine Farm, Quady Winery, San Joaquin Winery, Toca Madera Winery, Idle Hour Winery and Kitchen, Dorval Estate Winery, Birdstone Winery, and CRŪ Winery. Be aware, some places require a reservation!
