We met at work as 18-year-old babies. We were instant friends, playing it super cool and acting like we didn't like each other. Neither of us spoke up, and down the road we ended up living in two different countries and losing touch for the better part of a decade. In 2015, we stumbled across each other on social media and instantly clicked. Messages turned into texts, texts turned into calls, and calls led to meeting up with friends and talking for 5 straight hours. It's been 4 years since then and we couldn't be more grateful for our second chance at living life together.
It was just after our big family Thanksgiving, and we were decorating the Christmas tree with our 2 boys. Hannah knew that Aaron had her great grandmother's wedding ring and that a proposal was coming, but the actual moment was a surprise. She was hanging ornaments on the highest branches of the tree and looked down to see Aaron on one knee, holding up the ring, while the kids gaped open-mouthed and grinned. He asked, she accepted, and they were wrapped in an enthusiastic four person group hug.
