Pisa Airport: 40-minute drive to Lucca Florence Airport: 50-minute drive to Lucca There are other local airports too. We are flying into Rome and driving to Lucca from there. Let us know if you need any help of what is best! Train: take PEOPLE MOVER (from 4.30 am to 1.30 am) just outside the airport for 1 km to Pisa Centrale Station, then change and take the train to Lucca. The trip is around 25-30 minutes. The cost is 6,50€ (Pisa Mover) + around 3,90 € (Train Pisa-Lucca). Pisa airport is the closest airport to the town with many flights from London (BA, EasyJet and Ryanair all fly here), Paris, Rome etc. Florence airport is also close to the town although flights tend to be more expensive. Florence airport is better connected for guests arriving from the States (layover flights from Zurich, Paris, Rome, London etc.) A taxi directly from Pisa airport to Lucca should cost about 80€/100€. From Florence airport should cost about 140€/160€. * Please make sure that the taxi driver has the meter on when you start your journey and ask for a rough estimate before starting. Please also note that price could change depending on daily or nightly fare, passengers and luggages.
