Is there a dress code?

Answer

We ask that our guests are first and foremost comfortable! That said, we are celebrating at a gorgeous venue and encourage you to dress up and recommend that you wear formal/black tie optional. The wedding party will be wearing various shades of purple.

Can I bring a date?

We have carefully curated our guest list and ask that you only bring a date if you have been provided with a plus one and indicated it on your rsvp.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Due to DC's robust Metro system, we do not have a shuttle taking guests to or from our designated hotel. The Metro's Red Line can take guests directly into Union Station. From the Marriott please proceed to the Metro Center station. Get on the Red Line towards Glenmont and ride for three stops until you arrive at Union Station.

Once I'm at Union Station, where do I go?

Answer

If looking on Google Maps, head to "Presidential Suite at Union Station" On Foot: From the front of Union Station the Presidential Suite can be accessed from a private entrance. The entrance is located on the far right (east) of the building. Event staff will be greeting you at the door. Garage Parking: There is a 24-hour garage “attached” to the rear of Union Station and can be accessed from H Street, NE. Please remember to bring your parking ticket with you and pay your ticket when you exit at one of the booths located in the first level/bus deck. To the Event: From the garage, take the escalator down into Union Station. Once inside the Station, walk forward, pass Rental Car/Money Exchange Kiosk and then walk down the semicircular marble steps and enter Main Hall. Exit Main Hall via Massachusetts Avenue and immediately turn left. Follow the colonnade to the east end of the building, Presidential Suite will be to your left. From the Metro: Union Station is a stop on Metro’s Red Line. Exit Metro in direction of “Shops, Massachusetts Avenue”. Take escalator up and walk towards the front of the Station (Mass. Ave.). Proceed down the colonnade to the east end of the building. Presidential Suite will be to your left.
