Relaxing few hour trip and experience with a sail boat. Was able to see Seattle from Puget Sound.
Ben and I went close to sunset so that we got to see the city with the sun up, but also at the night with the city lights. Instead of purchasing the ticket option to come back twice in one day. Two birds/one stone.
Tons of shops, food, book stores, the original Starbucks. Be ready to walk!! Few hidden gems like the famous gum wall.
Ben and I had a good time doing this. We are planning on taking the boys. However, there are some folks that were less impressed with this excursion than we were. :) Super interesting hearing how the city the was originally and how it became what it is today. I personally found it fascinating that there is a whole city under the city we see today.
A ferris wheel is a ferris wheel. Great view of the city and just a nice a little break if you're tired of walking around.
Just cool art. Something to drive by, or to just say you got to see.

Fun Fact: My mom grew up in south Oregon. Right before Mt St Helens erupted, my grandpa flew (despite air traffic being grounded) up there and took photos of the volcano a day or two before it erupted. I have been obsessed with this ever since I found the photos when I was little. There are tunnels left behind from the lava that you can go explore plus other hiking opportunities. The plan is to take a pit stop on our way to Northern Oregon.
