We met a whopping 10 years ago after meeting through mutual friends while in college. Katie's version: One of the first nights we hung out Brian told a friend of mine that he was going to marry me. Brian still won't admit it to some, but I remember thinking how sweet it was. Who knew he would be right!? We became friends first, but as we got to know each other I saw a different side to Brian. He is the life of the party goof ball, but while at a Twins game with friends I found out we had a lot in common. We came from very similar extended families and I could see how important his friends and family are to him. This was when I first started falling for Brian. The Twins game led to a move down to Arizona where I attended medical school while Brian worked for Wells Fargo. We had a great time there, but still had a lot of growing up to do and eventually went our separate ways. A few years later Brian invited me to a friends wedding and eventually confessed that he was still in love with me and deep down I knew I was still in love with him. We went to the wedding together and I guess you could say the rest is history. Another move across the country and a few years later, Brian proposed on his parents property in Cambridge. We had a great celebration with our parents (and puppy, Romeo) and couldn't be happier. We have learned so much over the years from each other and I feel so proud of all that we have accomplished both as individuals, but even more so as a couple. I can't believe I get to spend forever with my best friend.
