San Antonio River Walk

Day trip to San Antonio is well worth the 1.5 hr drive for the culture, food, scenery and shopping. You can take a boat ride or walk the famous Riverwalk where you'll enjoy authentic mexican food and music. Downtown San Antonio, where you can visit the Alamo, has plenty to keep you busy for an afternoon.

Fredericksburg

If you're a wine lover, you'll appreciate the 1.5 hr drive to Fredericksburg. Known for its wineries and cute German town, Fredericksburg is the day trip to choose if you're into shopping for antiques, soaps, candles, and souvenir gifts.

Gruene Hall

A quick 45 min drive to Gruene, you can enjoy your day in this cute little town on the river with boutique shops & wineries. After shopping, you can visit the oldest dance hall in Texas, Gruene Hall, with live music every day. Fun fact: In 1996, the movie "Michael" was filmed in Gruene Hall.
