FAQs

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Our wedding will be Black Tie Optional, and we hope for an elegant and celebratory atmosphere to match our church ceremony and evening reception. For gentlemen, tuxedos are welcome but not required; a dark suit with a tie or bow tie is also perfectly appropriate. For ladies, we encourage floor-length dresses or formal gowns. Because the ceremony will take place in a church and the evening will be a formal celebration, we kindly ask guests to avoid short dresses when possible. We also request that guests avoid wearing white or ivory so the bride can shine. Overall, we hope everyone feels comfortable dressing up and celebrating with us in style!

Question

What can I do between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Because our wedding will take place in a Catholic church, there will be a short gap of time between the ceremony and the reception. We hope you take this opportunity to relax, refresh, or explore! Grab a coffee at a local café, wander around the charming streets of New Albany, or simply take a moment to rest before joining us for an evening of celebration and dancing.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

To keep our wedding intimate, your invitation will show whether a plus-one is included. If it doesn’t, we hope you’ll attend on your own and share in the love, laughter, and memories we’re creating together.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! The bar will be fully stocked for all of our guests to enjoy. Sip a margarita with the bride, share a Jack & Coke with the groom, or enjoy your favorite cocktail, wine, or beer. Cheers to celebrating together—and remember to drink responsibly while dancing the night away!

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes! Please see the "Travel" section for more information.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We ask that guests arrive no later than 15 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony to be seated comfortably.

Question

Will there be a photographer?

Answer

Yes! We have professional photographers capturing our special day. We kindly ask guests to enjoy the ceremony without phones or cameras during key moments.
