We met through our mutual friends Kevin and Danielle Willmott. Kevin is a football coach with Mike and Danielle is a coworker of Sarah's. They knew that we would be a great match for one another with our passion for teaching and family. The original timing didn't work out but eventually our paths brought us together!

Our first date took place in November of 2018. We met each other at Blu Wolf Bistro where Mike charmed Sarah with his humor over a few cocktails. From there we went to Tony D's where Sarah found it necessary to jaywalk across the city street. Sarah didn't hold back her love for food and made sure to order a little bit of everything! The night wouldn't be complete if Mike didn't make a fool out of himself and get a bloody nose.

While relaxing at home on Thursday, February 18th afternoon, Mike called attention to Sadie (Sarah's dog) who had a piece of paper folded and attached to her collar. With a whole lot of coaxing Sadie made her way to Sarah where Mike then removed the note and read aloud a special hand written message. It was then that he took out the most stunning diamond ring and asked "the question". After sharing a kiss Mike added that Sarah needed to be ready for a night out by 5:30pm. We spent the next few hours contacting our families and closet friends. Sarah spent a lot of her time jumping and shouting around the house in pure joy. When 5:30pm came around Mike surprised Sarah by taking her back to our first date location at Tony D's. As we walked in Mike had Sarah's family there to surprise her and share in the happy celebration!
