Our beautiful venue for the weekend! This is where our welcome dinner, ceremony, and reception will take place. We've placed a room block on all accommodation at the venue to ensure guest convenience and safety. We can comfortably host up to 80 guests on-site, but we recommend securing your spot as soon as possible. (We have one room left!) All meals will be provided from Friday night through Monday morning for those who choose to stay here. There is a pool, restaurant, and bar available. To optimize the number of guests that are able to stay at the venue, Mitch and I will be handling bookings with the assistance of our wedding planner. To secure a room, please use the PayPal link or Venmo below by July 1, 2025. Pricing is $275/person for 9/19-9/21, based on double occupancy ($550 per room for two nights total). We do have the venue for three nights and plan on arranging a group activity for Sunday as well. The rate for 9/21 is $125/person based on double occupancy ($250 per room total). You may add the additional fee to your booking via PayPal or Venmo. If you would prefer to share a room, we can have that arranged. Please communicate any requests to Chelsea or Mitch prior to booking. Rooms are guaranteed for check-in at 3:00pm on Friday. You are welcome to enjoy the Borgo's common areas, pool, and bar upon arrival. Check-out time is 11:00am. PayPal: https://paypal.me/chelseamichelson Venmo: @Chelsea-Michelson

Stay tuned as we gather a few more options for you!
Flight
Aeroporto di Firenze-Peretola in Florence, Pisa International Airport (Galileo Galilei), and Leonardo da Vinci-Fiumicino Airport in Rome are one, two, and three hours outside of the venue, respectively. There is also the option to fly into San Francesco d'Assisi Airport in Perugia. This location is about an hour from the venue but operates on a limited flight schedule. All are great options, but ultimately where you fly into will depend on whether you plan to explore different areas of Italy before the festivities begin. Smaller airports like Florence tend to be a bit pricier but will eliminate the need to take an extra train or two. *Keep in mind that there are often 15-30 minute express trams that run between airports and major train stations. Tickets can be purchased directly at the airport. Consider the extra time needed when booking rail tickets after your flights! Trams: Leonardo Express (Rome Airport --> Rome Stazione Termini) (14 euro) Line T2 (Florence Airport --> Firenze Santa Maria Novella) (2 euro) PisaMover (Pisa Airport --> Pisa Centrale) (7 euro) We highly recommend booking your flights and trains/rental cars at least 6 months before your arrival to ensure the best rate and peace of mind. Download an app like Hopper or Expedia to track flight prices. Please text or call Chelsea at 781-405-6755 with any questions!
Train
Trains are inexpensive and run frequently between Rome’s Stazione Termini and Siena's Stazione de Siena as well as between Florence's Santa Maria Novella and Siena's Stazione de Siena. There are also trains from Pisa Centrale train station to Siena and from Perugia Railway Station to Siena, though these journeys do require one or two changes during the ride. If you are taking a train at any point during your travels, we recommend being at the stations early. Train tickets can be booked through the ItaliaRail website.
Rental Car
Chelsea has used the website Sunny Cars to rent in Italy before with no issues and free cancellation and insurance included. You can also rent directly from any service at most airports. Hertz, Avis, Europcar, etc. are all great options. If renting and returning to Florence, Knowleggi SRL, is easy and the owner is thorough in explaining traffic laws! Confirm that you are renting an automatic before booking. Insurance is required in Italy when renting a car, so add any additional coverage at the initial time of booking to secure the best rate. Tips: In Italy, there are certain zones that you need to pay attention to. These ‘zona traffico limitato’ or ‘Area Pedonale’ areas are off-limits to all vehicles without a permit. There are over 200 marked ZTL zones. Sometimes they are difficult to identify, but most are indicated by a sign with a big red circle or via a light system. You can only enter these zones by car when the ZTL is open. This is noted on the sign at the entrance of the ZTL zone, or a green light will show. These zones are often in the centers of historic cities. TIP: Using Waze as your navigation system will help you avoid these restricted areas. The autostrada, or expressway, most often has tolls. When entering, use only the white lanes (no yellow), and grab your ticket. You’ll then exit the toll at the end of the autostrada; insert that same ticket and use either your card (blue lanes) or cash (white lanes), to pay. If you'd like to avoid these, opt for the scenic route instead! An International Driver's Permit is required for those that wish to rent a car in Italy. You can easily obtain one for about $20 through AAA. Please don't go without one! IDP Link: https://www.aaa.com/vacation/idpf.html
Rental Car
Taxis in Siena are fairly expensive and can range in price from 70 to 100 euros for a short 30-minute drive, especially when venturing into the more rural areas. There is a taxi stand at Siena's main train station, and cash is usually required. We recommend looking into car rental or taking advantage of the group transportation option to and from the venue for the weekend. Please reach out to Chelsea at 781-405-6755 if you need assistance in booking a taxi to or from the venue!

A car service option that can be scheduled in advance for pickup from Rome, Pisa, or Florence airports, straight to the venue!
