Dress code: Aloha attire- casual but stylish. No suits or tuxes required but no slippers, t-shirts or shorts either! It started off with an email from Yovo with the subject line "What's meant to happen, will happen". Michelle's uncle (and Yovo's big boss at the time) and Michelle's friend (and Yovo's coworker), independently tried to make the match in heaven. Tricky situation for Yovo right! Still, he took a chance and wrote a dating site-like invite to Michelle for a blind date at Rum Fire at Sheraton Waikiki and what was meant to happen, really happened! The rest is a lovely history of love, adventures, happiness and some tears along the way of course...and now the continuation of the happily ever after!

A birthday surprise! After over 6 years of dating, Michelle may have wondered if Yovo would ever commit. Little did she know that Yovo would try and make that birthday extra special. It started off with a beautiful flower bouquet being sent to Michelle's office (how unusual) and strict instructions from Yovo to be home on time and to wear something "beachy but nice" for later. Michelle thought that maybe he finally bought one of those Groupons for a couple's photo shoot that he was always talking about! Headed to what Michelle thought was going to be a photo shoot at Magic Island at Ala Moana Beach Park, they took a slight detour to Waikiki Yacht Club instead. Suddenly, they boarded a gorgeous sail boat named Vanessa for a beautiful private sunset cruise in front of Waikiki with champagne and sailing. Right at sunset, Yovo left gorgeous Michelle on the bow and came back with a little black box wrapped in sailing lines. Yovo then got on one knee and asked Michelle to be patient until he untied the box, just like she had to be patient with their relationship. Amazing sunset, pretty ring and the magical 'YES'. One ring, two hearts, love forever!

Make sure to walk through the estate and go inside the main house to check out the beautiful old Hawaiian design and feel, as well as its Aloha spirit.
