Things To Do

We are so excited to share a few of our favorite places in Palo Alto with you. There are so many options, but we've nailed down some of our most frequented spots.
Iris & B. Gerald Cantor Center for Visual Arts

Iris & B. Gerald Cantor Center for Visual Arts

328 Lomita Drive, Stanford, CA 94305
, (650) 723-4177

This is one of the first places Michelle took Truitt to on one of his first visits to Palo Alto. Best part: the museum is free!

The Stanford Theatre

The Stanford Theatre

221 University Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94301
, (650) 324-3700

The Stanford Theatre is a classical independent movie theater in Palo Alto. Such a fun place to catch a classic flick! It was designed and built in the 1920s as a movie palace styled in neoclassical Persian and Moorish architecture - aka, it's goooorgeous. The first movie we saw here was Casablanca and it was magical.

Stanford Shopping Center

Stanford Shopping Center

Stanford Shopping Center, Palo Alto, CA 94304

A gorgeous outdoor mall located in Palo Alto on Stanford's campus. Fun shops, yummy food - and you'll be surrounded by gorgeous flowers every step you take. It's hard to be in a bad mood when you walk around Stanford on a gorgeous day.

University Avenue

University Avenue

University Avenue, Palo Alto, CA

University Avenue is one of the hottest spots in Palo Alto. The tree lined streets are full of amazing food, delicious coffee and great shopping. I always say Palo Alto reminds me of a Hallmark/Lifetime movie set - let us know if you agree!

La Bodeguita Del Medio

La Bodeguita Del Medio

463 California Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94306
, (650) 326-7762

This place is phenomenal. Cuban food is one of our faves and this place is to-die for. Paella, rum tastings, a cigar room in the back - get ready to be transported to Cuba for a few hours.

Terún

Terún

448 California Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94306
, (650) 600-8310

Terun is another favorite place of ours. It's a family run restaurant and thats exactly how it feels when you walk in. The food is homemade and divine, the owner of the restaurant walks around with a glass of wine or limoncello and often times offers to the guests as he's making his rounds saying hello to everyone. Also, fun fact: Terun in Italian means "Red Neck". Apparently, the region of Italy the family is from is considered the hillbilly area of the country.

Blue Bottle Coffee

Blue Bottle Coffee

456 University Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94301
, (510) 653-3394

Blue Bottle Coffee is our favorite in the area. Blue Bottle started in San Francisco in the Hayes Valley district of the city. Their focus is good coffee, so don't expect to get a triple shot frappuccino with a strawberry swirl and extra whipped cream. If you enjoy coffee, you'll love Blue Bottle. Starbucks is a couple of blocks away for those who are creatures of habit.

Evvia Estiatorio

Evvia Estiatorio

420 Emerson Street, Palo Alto, CA 94301
, (650) 326-0983

Michelle absolutely hates lamb, but will actually order the lamb shanks at Evvia and go to town. Evvia is a Greek restaurant off of University Ave - delicious and authentic, you really won't be disappointed.
