Lake Estes welcomes boats of all kinds, including canoes, kayaks, motorized fishing boats, pontoon boats and paddle boats. The Lake Estes Marina rents them. Rocky Mountain National Park allows only non-motorized boats, such as canoes or kayaks. No boats of any kind are allowed in Bear Lake
Gem Lake Trail and Lumpy Ridge Loop is a 4.4 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Estes Park, Colorado that features a lake and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and birding and is best used from April until September.

This is one of the most popular hikes in the area, taking you on a relatively flat journey around Moraine Park, which serves as a prime spot for grazing elk and wildlife. If you are looking for something more difficult check out Black Lake Trail, Flattop Mountain Trail, Granite Falls Trail, Sky Pond Trail, and Lake Haivaha Trail.
