They met through the dating app, Tinder #sponshorship-please. One night out in NYC, while Tatiana was sipping on margaritas with her friends and Michelle was losing money at a casino with her family (good decisions at their finest), they decided to meet on their way back home. Nearing 3 am, at the South Orange train station, Michelle and Tatiana met for the first time. Michelle had been standing by her car, waiting for Tatiana to arrive, all the while hoping she wasn't about to meet with some random murderer (certainly a pattern of good decisions that night). Cue the train sounds, the hustle and bustle of arriving passengers, and Michelle looked up to spot a beautiful girl in a reddish-pink dress. They smiled, they talked, they ate popcorn while hanging out at a friend's house, and at the end of the night they went in for a hug as they said goodbye. That small gesture of departure felt like the recovering of an old friend, two people who hadn't seen each other in way too long but that instantly felt reconnected. Details may blur over time, but to this day, both Michelle and Tatiana agree that it was that very hug that made them think "this could be something". ...didn't I tell you? Nothing but good decisions that night.
On the anniversary of when they started dating, Michelle had planned to visit a waterfall that held great sentimental value to the both of them. They approached the overlook, where Tatiana read the sign "Will you marry me?" - she cried, said yes while nodding her head in shock and just like that, they were engaged. Fun Fact: Michelle woke up at 6am and drove to the waterfall location (2 and a half hours away) to place the sign and head back right on time to head to the waterfall with Tatiana. It was... an adventure. Fast forward a year and a half later and we're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Portugal!
