FAQs

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Arrowwood is an outdoor venue and it will most likely be HOT (it is Texas). Farm animals are located onsite, two fire pits will be lit for the night, and there is a lot of wooded area around the site. We worry about young explorers as we are known for copperheads which live in these wooded landscapes. While we would love to see your kiddos, we do strongly recommend adults only/older children for the above reasons.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, we are also offering a party bus from a nearby hotel in Waxahachie if you would like to use that instead. It will run from 1-2:30pm and 9-10:30pm between The Best Western Plus Hotel on HWY 77 and the venue in Palmer.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

We will have a party bus from The Best Western Plus Hotel on HWY 77 in Waxahachie, TX on the day of the wedding. This will route to the wedding venue in Palmer, TX. Times: From hotel to venue is 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm (last pickup) From venue to hotel: 9:00 pm - 10:30 pm (last run to the hotel)

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Friday night we recommend dinner at Union 28 in Midlothian for early arrivals. We will be having coffee in downtown Waxahachie on Saturday morning (9am) and a promenade around the Waxahachie Downtown area (ending around noon). Our favorite downtown coffee shops: White Rhino, Fresh Market Coffee, Bloom & Pour! Steve and I will be hanging around the courthouse area if you would like to say hello. :) (weather permitting; we will post contingency plans here if it’s not)

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

An important question. The answer is yes! And water. Please drink responsibly and stay hydrated! Did we mention it’s hot here? :) The drinks are on us, the hangover is on you!

Question

Are you accepting gifts?

Answer

Steve and I have accumulated most things that couples have on wedding registries. If you would like to help us create memories, feel free to send money our way for our honeymoon/savings. The real gift is seeing y’all here on our special day! :)

Question

How long have you been together?

Answer

Since April 15th 2015. We met at our local college bar. Classic! :D

Question

Will Zoey be in the wedding?

Answer

I hope so! She can’t stay for the reception but we’re trying to plan on having her there for the ceremony. :)

Question

What time is the wedding? Is it all in one place?

Answer

Ceremony and reception will be at Arrowwood. Party bus drop offs: 1-3pm Ceremony: 3pm Cocktail Hour: 4pm Reception/dinner: 5pm-7pm Dancing starts immediately after dinner, speeches and first dance will be during towards the end of dinner to keep you entertained! Question

Will there be a DJ? What kind of music?

Answer

Yes. All the good music. 🎶 It’s a broad range, like Frank Sinatra to today’s hits. Complex, like a fine wine! Bad dance moves brought to you by tequila. We will see you on the dance floor 🪩 🕺🏼 💃🏼 :)

For all the days along the way
