Another classic vineyard right outside Charlottesville. The mountain views are spectacular. Make sure to try the Crose wine if you go!

King Family Vineyards

With some of the best sunsets in the city, Carter's Mountain is always a good time. Have an apple cider donut while you sip on some wine and take in the view.

Carter Mountain Orchard and Country Store

Best for sunrise or sunset, Humpback Rock is one of the best hiking trails near Charlottesville. It's a short but steep walk up to incredible views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Shenandoah National Park is about 25 minutes from Charlottesville. There are plenty of trails of different levels of difficulty in the park.
