Humpback Rocks Visitor Center and Picnic Area

Best for sunrise or sunset, Humpback Rock is one of the best hiking trails near Charlottesville. It's a short but steep walk up to incredible views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Shenandoah National Park

Shenandoah National Park is about 25 minutes from Charlottesville. There are plenty of trails of different levels of difficulty in the park.
