Michelle and Sebastian met when they were 13 years old while they attended Polish Language School. Through polish school, they would see each other every weekend which meant eating lunch at the same lunch table, going on field trips to Philly and even skipped school together (only once). In 8th grade, polish school ended but their friendship didn't. Although they didn't go to the same high school, they maintained their friendship on weekends at parties and Polanka with friends. As they matured, their feelings deepened, culminating in Sebastian's bold move at one of Michelle's parties. However, their budding romance faced a hurdle when Sebastian went to Poland for the summer, putting their relationship on hold. Despite their efforts to reignite the flame upon his return, circumstances led them to drift apart, not crossing paths again for almost a decade. Michelle had no idea she was his grandma and was asked to be her nurse because they both spoke polish.
