You can't come to Maine without checking out a lighthouse! It's about a 15 min drive from our venue and worth checking out to enjoy the beautiful park (with a small museum) and it's incredible coastal scenery. Fun fact: Pemaquid Point is the lighthouse on the Maine State quarter!
Take a day trip to Portland, our stomping ground for the last few years, which is a little over an hour away! Check out some of our favorite spots including Apres, Fort Williams, Mackworth Island, and both the Eastern and Western Prom. Some of our favorite restaurants include Chaval, Isa Bistro, Crispy Gai, Boda, Yosaku, and High Roller Lobster Co!
Damariscotta is only about a 15 min drive away from Bristol! If you're oyster lovers like us, this is the place to be! Known as the oyster capital of Maine, this is where most of the oysters from the state comes from! There's a lot of outdoor activities- check out Midcoast Kayaks and Damariscotta River Cruises for Oyster Farm and Seal Watching tours.
Camden is the quintessential New England coastal small town about an hour away from Bristol. It's a great spot to check out for shopping, incredible restaurants, hiking, ocean harbor tours, and Windjammer sails.
If you have some time in the area, we highly recommend taking the drive to Acadia. Hike along the coast and take in the most beautiful views! Some hikes we recommend checking out include the Ocean Path Trail, South Bubble, Jordon Pond Path, Gorham Mountain Trail and the Beehive Trail if you're feeling ambitious.
