The ceremony will be on the beach, in the sand so Thongs/Crocs and Sandals or Bare feet are perfectly acceptable! there will be somewhere to leave your shoes so you don't have to carry them down there. Shorts are fabulous. HAWAIIAN Shirts are brilliant and absolutely encouraged. T-shirts are perfectly fine. Suites are beautiful if that's your thing! Wear that gorgeous dress that never leaves the cupboard, or throw on that old favourite! we don't mind! But wear anything you want for a relaxed fun time and don't forget dancing:)
I love that people want to show us their love with gifts but we know how much you are outlaying just to be with us. It means SO much to us that you can all make it down and spend time with us on a weekend away. I always thought destination weddings were a little over the top but finding somewhere special to spend time with the special folks in our lives was very important, and we appreciate that you want to be with us. PLEASE PLEASE no gifts, we will have a guest book for you to sign, add some memories to etc. So that's all we need.
https://beach-weather.com/Australia-and-New-Zealand/Australia/New-South-Wales/Murramarang-National-Park/Kioloa/averages/April/ It should be pretty nice at this time of year, and hopefully not windy. The water at this time of year is delightful and worth packing your swimmers in case you want to go for a dip. We will have a wet weather plan if the need arises, please keep an eye on the website.
Unless the weather has other plans, the ceremony will be held ON THE BEACH! Some chairs will be provided for you to grab if you want one, but we want to keep it simple and swift, so we won't be there for long.
The reception will be outside, casual seating, no seating plans, mingle and wander and enjoy! Pack a cardigan as the sun goes down. We will have seating and tables for you to mingle around. Hopefully we will have a fire pit but we will also have some blankets to keep you comfortable.
If we can all arrive between 4pm and 5pm would be great, we'd like the ceremony to kick off by 5.30 so we can get to the more casual party time!
We will have someone on board to take you home/pick you up from the immediate area. ie: Kioloa, Bawley Point and Merry Beach. We won't have anyone available for people further afield than Bawley Point, ie: Tabourie or Batemans Bay, You will need to organise your own transport or crash on the floor of someone else's Cabin!
There is small amount of parking for visitors at the park but there is a BIG carpark directly across the road, keep an eye out for the Fire Station and the Saltwood Cafe, you can't miss it. If you have accessibility needs, please contact us and we can arrange for you go get to the party location.
We will have meat and cheese platters to start, Woodfired Pizza for mains and fruit and sweets for afters. If you have RSVP'd on the site you will have answered the allergies questions, please contact us if you have any other questions Drinks: We will have Beers (mid strength and fully leaded), Ciders, White Wine (some sparkling), Red Wine and softdrinks, water and tea and coffee. Please feel free to bring your own if you want something stronger. Friday night is BYO If you are able, if you aren't don't feel stressed, we will have some drinks and nibbles to cater for those who aren't able to bring anything. Sunday breakfast/brunch is just instant coffee, tea and some juices and water. I don't have a fancy coffee machine but there is a Cafe across the road that should be open, but I'll confirm closer if you are wanting a morning Latte!
Do you know me? Of course you can! Make all the tiktoks, snap all the snappies, post on the stories, and spread the love :) We will be using the WEDBOX App for photo sharing, and we'd love you to join in, download it before you come or after, as there is no internet service in the Park unless you are with Telstra. WEDDING ID: J3QRSD
Short answer... well .. if you are with Telstra you will get some internet and phone reception in Kiolola, if you aren't, then nope. There are areas around the place where you can get reception 1. The Boat Ramp at Kioloa Beach, near the marine rescue headquarters, and you won't be alone, you can join the rest of the visitors sitting on a rock doing internet stuffs and making phone calls. 2. Near the Bawley Point shops. 3. Bawley Beach I'm unsure about Merry Beach, you might have to ask locally, i believe there is tesltra, but not sure about anyone else.
Bawley Point is only a quick 5 min drive away from Kioloa and has a great little shopping centre with an IGA, Bottle Shop, Takeaway (Fish and chips during the day, Pizza of an evening), Chemist, Hairdressers, Newsagents and more. In Merry Beach there is a little convenience store and takeaway, as well as a great restaurant to enjoy. Opposite the Kioloa Beach Tasman Parks is a lovely cafe and shop called Saltwood Cafe. About 15 mins away at the turn off to the area, is a Service Station, takeaway etc. Ulladulla and Milton are about 30 mins north. Milton is a lovely little township with many boutiques and restaurants, cafes and Pubs as well as the Hospital, medical centres, and more.
