Matron of Honor
It's hard to remember when Carla and I exactly met, but we became really good friends in the trying years of Jr. High at La Colina. While we went to elementary school together, the only reason we interacted was that our last names forced us to sit next to each other in class. There are so many, actually too many, stories to share about the times that Carla and I have had together over the almost 30 years of friendship. We have traveled the world together; in fact the first time I traveled internationally was to Mexico City when we were only QUINCE ANOS! Before Patrick, Carla was my date for many work events. In fact, one happened to be where she met her husband Josh at SIMI. I'm beyond honored that she is standing by my side as MOH and at the time of our wedding, so will her newborn.
Best Man
I remember the day I met Ryan, all smiles and energy, on the campus of UPS as he led the charge to recruit the next generation of what would soon be a close group of friends disbanded from official representation. He used his wit, boundless energy, and enthusiasm to connect a disparate group. Visiting he and Casey my senior year of college would open the door to my eventual move to SF, where we connected and became great friends over many great nights in SF haunts, late night talks, ambitions for runs, comedians, and shared passion for wine and political talks. Ryan is ever the best man one could hope for – generous, full of wit and laughter, always seeking to connect and brings friends close with energy and zest for life. I’m honored to have Ryan as my best man.
Bridesmaid
Megan and I met freshman year at San Marcos High School (in typing class) and became fast friends. Our love of team sports and exploring Santa Barbara kept us busy all throughout high school. There weren't many weekends that Megan, Carla and I weren't together... unless, of course, Carla was grounded. Megan was part of our family and was lucky enough to get the "name game song" sung to her at each visit from my dad. She kindly laughed with him and even joined in from time-to-time. Megan is one of the most kind-hearted souls I know. She dedicates her time as a school teacher at my Jr. High alma mater and I swear knows EVERY single person in Santa Barbara. While we haven't lived in the same town since high school, our friendship picks right back up where it left off last time.
Groomsman
Casey, like Ryan, and I first became friends at UPS in Tacoma, but it was the Bay that brought us together. From Cow Hollow to the six-bedroom apartment off Golden Gate Park, we have explored together San Francisco, Marin and Calistoga, always led by Casey’s energetic social planning and ever-ready sense of adventure. Casey, wherever he goes, connects with energy, charisma and interest in all those near him. From Nascar to Napa, Casey has been a close friend and mentor in building my life in the Bay Area; his lust for life and passion for his friends and his amazing family has been a driving force for so many in our friend circle. There are few so real, so genuinely interested, and so motivated to be a great friend, with dynamism… Monkey is ready for adventure, with a true family heart.
Bridesmaid
The night before our first day at UofA, I awkwardly met Marissa during sorority rush as hot wax was dripped on me during some weird preference night ritual. We both nervously giggled and had no idea our friendship was going to start from there. After WAY TOO many fun nights in college (dirt fries, AZ IDs, pool parties...), we continued our fun back in So Cal where we lived together in Corona Del Mar. Well, that is after I had some stints of living with both sets of her parents (thank you!). We lived a charmed life there before her soon to be husband, and my beer chugging partner, Sean, convinced her to marry him. Marissa is one of the most fun-loving, kind, and sincere friends. She is always up for anything and always there for me. Thank you for being with us for our big day.
Groomsman
I was fortunate to meet Josh-ua through Michelle and Carla’s lifelong friendship, and delighted now to call him my own close friend and partner in crime… Josh, like Casey and Ryan, shares his enthusiasm and passion for life with buoyant energy and quick charm. A talented chef, he is a renaissance man of many talents that is always ready to bring a joke, a story, a prank to light up the room. We have braved oyster-eating records (78 each, one night, from the ocean) to Mexican pool-diving contests to cabins named Ron. Josh’s infectious personality attracts, but his genuine thoughtful curiosity that is always ready to dive deep, who always wants to know really how you are, makes him a true friend.
Jr. Bridesmaid
Sweet Haley Grace Wange is a spark of life; the first child for my twin sister Shannon and her husband Jason, Haley loves to create, to connect all of us as a family and she brings her friends and family great joy. Her energetic laughter fills a room; her beautiful warm eyes welcome all; and her passionate, loving personality and courageous spirit inspire. Haley loves to create art, to design, to torture her brother Liam. Among her many talents, she has led with her cousin Brynley the annual Haley & Brynley talent show - full of songs, plays, and performances - since they were very young. We are honored that Haley agreed to be a junior bridesmaid at our wedding!
Jr. Bridesmaid
Brynley Kathleen Warta is the very charming daughter of my older sister Erin and her husband Ben... We cannot be more grateful to Brynley for joining us as a junior bridesmaid. You will not often meet a kinder soul than Brynley... She is a Colorado girl through-and-through; a stellar skier, great camper, and an excellent volleyball player. Brynley has grown up in a family that thrives on adventures that they share and l live together. She and Jr. Bridesmaid Haley Wange have been close friends since birth, helping each other survive life with brothers! Thank you Brynley for being an honored part of our wedding !
Flower Girl
Miss Brooklyn is my first niece, the daughter of brother Matt and sister-in-law Jasmyne. She has absolutely stolen the hearts of Grandpa and Grandma Perry. Brooklyn is full of energy, giggles, and she is clearly a Perry. Our times are spent together having dance parties (Trolls - her favorite and mine - JT), playing with her toys, and taking the dogs for a walk around the neighborhood. Her name, of course, comes our family's favorite sports team and Matt and my grandfather's hometown. We love her so much and are so excited to have her part of the party!!!
