Our story began when Tosin and I met in Lagos in May 2019. My parents and I went to Nigeria to visit family during that time. On my last day in Nigeria, I met him at my sister In laws’s shop. Tosin approached me with a handshake and we introduced ourselves. He asked me, “Do I know his aunt Pastor Dada?” and I told him no. Tosin wanted to have a conversation outside the shop and at first, I was skeptical because I did not know the guy. I decided to have a chat with him outside as my parents and I were waiting for our ride to come to take us to the airport (not knowing that him and his dad were our transportation). Our conversation was interesting and we had things in common. He asked for my number and I gave it to him. We chatted for a couple of months. When he text me i would take days to respond back. Tosin was not having that for a while until he noticed it and called me out on it saying he is serious about me and if i am not then we shouldn’t continue whatever we had. So, I snapped to reality oh he must be serious about me. I told myself let me take him serious and let me be intentional with him. We talked for 7-8 months then in early 2020 he asked me to be his girlfriend. I knew from there he was going to be my husband. Mind you he was like 6,500 miles away. I visited him couple of times to make sure our love didn’t run dry lol. Then, he proposed in September 2021 and the rest is history.
