Our Love Story

#Schollmates2021

On Saturday December 3, 2016 was the first time we laid eyes on each other. We met as a group and headed off to get dinner at The Dungeon so it wasn't an "official" date. Our first official date was a few short days later. Within 2 months, we were in a relationship beginning on December 24, 2016. The first year went so fast as we were experiencing many firsts together and loving every moment. As if time together wasn't going fast enough, Nick purchased his first house just over a year into our relationship so that kept us busy the second year of our relationship. We learned a lot about each other and the way we handle stressful moments, sad moments and how we celebrate the big happy moments as well. On January 31, 2019, the little love of our lives Dozer was born. We had multiple signs that we couldn't ignore telling us it was our time to adopt a dog. As he grew over the summer, he needed more space to run than a house in the city has to offer. We took him for walks but he still had so much energy. On December 24, 2019 Michelle was at Nick's house with Dozer while Nick had a half day of work. Dozer was feeling cooped up and needed to run. We headed to Michelle's grandma's house in Hamilton when Nick was out of work with Dozer to play catch and take him for a walk (So Michelle thought). As we got out of the truck, Michelle walked around to the driver side where Nick was grabbing Dozer. Nick reached into the truck and pulled out a ring box and dropped to his knee asking to marry Michelle. The answer was of course YES!
