Nice small zoo, perfect size for a day trip. Look for the baby elephant!

Reid Park Zoo

Beautiful garden, they have a butterfly house too!  Smaller than the desert museum but totally worth it.

Tucson Botanical Gardens

Check the times for the trams that they run up and down the canyon, it is a beautiful ride through the mountains and you can get out and hike at any time.
