In December 2017, Nashun and Michelle both decided to join the infamous dating site, Tinder, in hopes to finding love. They exchanged messages for a month before meeting for their first date. Nashun selected Applebee's because he thought she was “boujie” and wanted to make sure her intentions were genuine. Surprised by the selection, Michelle almost didn’t show. However, decided to keep her word to see if there was any chemistry between the two of them. Dinner exceeded both of their expectations. Nashun realized Michelle would be his wife after the first date. He started to strategically plan out that special day of when he would get down on his knee and ask Michelle for her hand in marriage. Nashun didn't want just an ordinary proposal, he wanted it to be special and memorable. He planned a whole day of events to keep Michelle occupied while he worked on the final details of the proposal. First, was brunch for her and 20 of her friends in Southlake. Second, was a scavenger hunt of downtown Dallas, where she and her friends would split into groups to compete against each other. Afterwards, everyone said their goodbyes; Michelle headed home to get ready for what she thought was going to be a quiet dinner, just the two of them.
