Max decided to visit one of his best friends working late at the local liquor store. Since I was the only cashier there, Max and I struck a conversation during the check-out process. Later, I ended up asking my coworker if he wanted to go out for drinks. Upon selecting the bar, I came to find out Max and some of his other friends were already there! We all spent the night laughing and drinking, Max and I eventually made a plan to make sure everyone got home safe. We texted until 4 a.m. and I told my mother about him immediately the next morning. The next day, the whole Richard family was going to Boiceville, NY to have their first annual Christmas Vacation. Everyone in the family was engaged or married, and Mom made a joke that I should invite Max. Sure enough, Max was on the porch with us almost 4 hours later! He met my entire family & our two dogs welcomed him with open bellies. He ended up staying the weekend with us and hasn't left since!
For my 25th birthday, Max surprised me with a trip to Sarasota, Florida. For my 26th birthday, I insisted on going back! The first night we were there, Max told me to get dressed up and we were going out for drinks & to watch the sunset. Around 6, a few hours before sunset, we parked at the beach. At the last second, Max decided we should go to the beach and take some photos. I followed pace and started striking a pose without being told twice. Max started in front of me taking my portrait and continued to move around me until I couldn't see him anymore. He then told me to look at a specific building in the distance in order to get the perfect photo. After 30 second of silence, I heard my name and turned around to have him down on one knee!
