I'll be honest - Saratoga is a bit foreign to us as well. However we have put together a guide of some places that seem great. In addition, we have thrown in a bonus of our favorite spots in SF - I could have listed hundreds! Heading to Sonoma or Napa ... or literally anywhere in a two hour radius? Valencia St. is a main corridor in the Mission District, which is southeast of downtown San Francisco in one of the sunniest parts of the City. Valencia St. is a trendy hub, full of bistros and boutiques. 7x7 Magazine describes it as "the modern hub of San Francisco's vibrant Mission District, Valencia Street is home to some of the city's hottest destination eateries, funky independent shops, most crowded watering holes, and eye-popping murals."

It lies between Baker Beach and Lands End and is part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. It was once used as a campsite for Chinese fishermen who anchored their boats in the cove.

These windswept slopes are one of the few remaining natural refuges in San Francisco. Bernal Heights, and its hill, is a special place for the city’s human and wildlife inhabitants. Sometimes the swing is there and sometimes its not but the view is still great!
