Sometimes love starts in the most unexpected ways, ours began with a Facebook connection between two high school students who had no idea what was ahead. Luis was a sophomore and I was a freshman at rival high schools. Our paths hadn’t crossed yet, but somehow, it felt like the universe already had a plan. A mutual friend gave Luis a little nudge to reach out, and after one message, everything changed. Since December 19th, 2011, our lives have been beautifully intertwined. What started as two teenagers talking after school turned into something far deeper than either of us could have imagined. We grew up side by side, learning, changing, and supporting each other through every milestone. Over the past 14 years, we’ve shared countless memories, inside jokes, and dreams that have shaped who we are today. Our families have become one big extension of our hearts, and our friends have turned into family. A reminder of how lucky we are to be surrounded by so much love. Being high school sweethearts is rare, and we never take that for granted. Through the hot Miami summers to the cold Chicago winters, through college, moves, new jobs, and everything in between. We’ve faced life hand in hand. Every challenge has only made us stronger, every season a new chapter in a story we’re still writing together. As we step into this new chapter of marriage, our hearts are full of gratitude. We’ve been dreaming of this day for so long, and we know many of you have been cheering us on from the very beginning. We can’t wait to celebrate this moment with the people who have loved and supported us through it all. Here’s to family, friendship, and a love that’s only grown stronger with time.
