Once upon a time, in the summer of 2017, fate conspired to bring Michelle and Luis together. Michelle was instantly drawn to Luis’s warm smile and the quiet strength in his presence, like a real-life storybook protector. Luis, meanwhile, was utterly smitten with Michelle’s radiant spirit and her very serious devotion to all things breakfast. From stacks of diner pancakes to flaky, buttery croissants, their earliest adventures were stitched together with coffee refills, pastry crumbs, and endless laughter. On January 3, 2018, Luis asked Michelle to be his girlfriend, officially beginning a love story written in cozy diners, long drives, and the comforting company of cats. Over the years, they’ve built a snug little world together. Then, on a sun-dappled Monday evening on September 2, 2024, in a quiet open field, Luis asked Michelle the easiest question she’s ever answered. And just like that, a brand new chapter began.
