We met online and quickly scheduled our first date for a Saturday afternoon in Michelle’s neighborhood, Williamsburg. Luigi arrived in his Smart Car and Michelle on a CitiBike; very on brand for both of us. We started with some wine and snacks, then bounced around to a few bars talking about our cultures, families, and bonding over food and wine. We ended the night with pizza at Leo and said ciao! The next morning, Michelle woke up to a text from Luigi saying “Buon giorno!” And she’s gotten the same message every morning since.
