FAQs

Question

What date should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by December 27, 2025.

Question

Have you reserved blocks of rooms at one or more hotels?

Answer

Yes, we have reserved blocks at the Home2 Suites by Hilton Florida City and the Tru by Hilton Florida City, both located about 10 minutes from the venue. Be sure to call 305-248-3155 and mention the Martin/York wedding to reserve a discounted rate.

Question

Will there be parking?

Answer

There will be a valet on site and plenty of parking at the venue.

Question

Will the Wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner will take place outside in a garden setting, and the dancing portion will be indoors. Guests will walk through the garden on paved pathways but may briefly step on grass to reach their seats. For that reason, stiletto or thin heels are not recommended unless fitted with heel protectors.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

It will be explicitly noted on the RSVP page if you may bring a guest. We can only accommodate those listed on the website. We appreciate your understanding!

Question

What are the addresses of the wedding ceremony and reception? Are they wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Both will take place at the Historic Walton House, 28501 SW 187th Ave, Homestead, FL 33030. For guests with limited mobility, there will be a golf cart service available during the event for transportation.

Question

What's the best airport to use?

Answer

While South Florida offers several airport options, Miami International Airport (MIA) is the most convenient, with flights from most major cities and just a 40-minute drive to the venue.

Question

What's the dress code for your wedding?

Answer

Our dress code is formal. We ask that guests wear a tuxedo or suit and tie, or alternatively, an evening gown or long cocktail dress.

Question

What type of food will be served at your wedding?

Answer

We’ll be serving hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour followed by a sit-down dinner with a choice of entrée that will be chosen when you RSVP. There will be meat, fish, and vegan options available.

Question

Could you suggest places to eat, drink and see while I'm in town for your wedding?

Answer

Check out the “Things to Do” section of our travel page to see some of our favorite spots to eat, drink, and explore in Homestead.

Question

What time should I arrive at your wedding ceremony?

Answer

The arrival time is 4:30 p.m. as we recommend arriving at least 30 minutes before the ceremony start time at 5 p.m. to ensure you have enough time to walk to the ceremony space and find a seat.
