Our first date was at a Christian Music Festival called “Alive”. It was the most perfect first date I’ve ever experienced. I distinctly remember standing about three or four rows away from the stage with Keith’s arms around me. Zach Williams was performing, and in between songs he said to the crowd “can I get an amen?” With no fear, hesitation or second thought Keith yells out “whoooo yeah AMEN”. I just smiled and hugged him. It was the first moment I knew Keith was exactly the kind of man I wanted to be with. That was just the beginning of what God had in store for us. Our second date was at church the next day. Later that day we went to Chagrin Falls. We walked around the falls and talked a lot. Then we had dinner at Jekyll’s Kitchen, and afterwards we went to the Popcorn shop, which I had never been to. We got ice cream and he told me how it was privy to Chagrin Falls, and that they had the best popcorn and ice cream. One day I was writing in a notebook. It is a cute little leather notebook that says “hope, faith, love” on it. Keith asked what I was writing and I replied that I was writing a book. He asked if he could read it, and I told him I would let him when I was done with the chapters I was writing then he could. When I gave it to him he read it and afterwards said “can I write in it too?” I was so surprised and excited that he enjoyed writing too, so I agreed to let him write with me. For weeks and months we wrote in that little notebook and passed it back and forth. To my surprise when Keith decided to propose to me he did it by writing a chapter, which he titled “The New Chapter”. It described his feelings about our journey together as a couple and together with Christ. All love stories are beautiful, BUT ours is my favorite.
