a day to remember

We first met at a youth conference in university… and, dare we say, it was love at first sight? 😂 Kai Xiang or Steven, as he’s known in Semenanjung decided to take a chance and WhatsApped Michelle after digging up her number from the group chats. What started as work calls soon turned into late-night heart-to-heart talks… and as we knew it, things just happened! Our first date was a spontaneous Nando’s run, and it’s still one of our favorite meals to share together. Our relationship began long-distance (and yes, it still kind of is!), which came with its quirks — Michelle being a picky eater while Kai Xiang eats almost everything. But over time, we learned how perfectly we complement each other. One of Michelle’s proudest achievement was definitely in training Kai Xiang to eat spicy food 🌶️ The few dishes that we both can never get enough of are sambal petai, asam pedas and mala tang. We also love spending time with family and enjoying lazy weekends together ☺️ COVID came along and kept us apart for more than two years! Yet, even through the distance, our bond grew stronger, proving that love really does find a way 🥰 Through it all, the adventures, the quiet cozy moments, the long-distance challenges, we’ve become each other’s better half, biggest supporter, and the person who makes life a little brighter every single day ❤️
