It was Pau’s birthday and I was her designated driver. We first laid eyes in Firefly as everyone was grabbing a quick bite. I noticed JR kept looking at me whenever he”d say, “Oo” (yes) and “Hindi” (no) while he was speaking with a colleague (the only Tagalog words he knew that time 😆). We then continued the party at LAX Nightclub as we all celebrated her day. We ended up in a men’s club 🤫, the sun was high when we left and was trying to find our way back to the hotel where we’re parked at . . . but before that we grabbed some coffee. Pau was just watching me and JR as we ordered side by side, the very same drink with the same special requests on it. A venti size, White Chocolate Mocha frappe with 2 extra shots of espresso blended in, no whip for me and with whip for him. Pau’s reaction was, “Wow soulmates?! Same order with same requests the only difference was the whip.” I told her it was just a coincidence, but that made me smile. The party did not end there. JR asked Pau that he’d treat us for breakfast in Blueberry Hill, of course my best friend said, “Yes!”, even tho she slept on her breakfast as JR and I was trying to get to know more about each other. We hung out the next day. Went out on our first movie date after a few days. He took me out for an unforgettable date, sky diving!! After a month and a half of spending a lot of time together, it just hit different 😍. One time we went to Cafe Moda to meet up with some friends. He knelt down and asked (with the cutest smile on his face), “‘Will you marry me someday?” I told him, “It must be the liquor that’s asking”, and he said, “No! I already found the mother who will bear my child. Will you grow old with me?” He even asked if he’s scaring me away because he’s just too fast to ask for such. I answered, “No, you’re just too cute to be scared of”. I remembered he said, he just wants to make me happy. He’s just the sweetest!! Ever since then never ending phone/video calls, text messages and a love fulfilled with its promise, with prayers guided our way that led us here. He never fail to always make me fall for him all over again 💕. We treasure every new experiences together. I thought this kind of love will never happen to me but here we are after 7 years of being married, we are renewing our vows. We are ecstatic to celebrate this moment with you, as we stand before God as you all witness our love. I’d say it’s the best love worth waiting and fighting for.
Joined a coworker's birthday at firefly with plans to get a VIP table at Jet Nightclub at the Mirage. That is where I met Michelle for the first time. I knew the birthday celebrant was bringing a friend over, but thought nothing of it. She caught my attention in her little red dress. The entire time during dinner, we did not say a single word to each other. I admit, I was trying to get her attention at times pretending to speak to Rey in the only Tagalog words I know. Silly me thinking talaga, diba, and oo will get her to start talking to me first. We all headed over to the nightclub to continue the celebration. I do not know why it took me so long to even strike a conversation with Michelle. I had to order another bottle for the table just to give me enough courage to talk to her. As the club was closing, I did not want the party to end. We got on a party bus to head over to Sapphires and I was surprised some of the girls joined. I remembered a club remix of Adele's Rolling In the Deep playing in the bus with our 60 year old co worker dancing with some random girls. That is when Michelle and I caught ourselves looking at each other. The drinks and partying continued till the morning and I finally had enough courage to make my move on Michelle. We had our first kiss at a strip club. Nobody believes us. Even though the sun is already out, I still didn't want it to end. We had breakfast at Blueberry Hill. While Pau was sleeping on her breakfast, Michelle and I kept flirting with one another. I already knew she was hooked on me, and I still played hard to get. I didn't even ask for her number. She actually took my phone and save her number on it. Even though I have her number, she was the first one to message me. She was staying at Pau's place at that time, so I was constantly there. That is the time I started falling in love with her. She would cook dinner for me after work. She even packed me Filipino food for lunch. I saw how great she was with Jared, Pau's toddler. When she went to my place, she cleaned it up. I even introduced her to my mom when we went to LA from Las Vegas. I straight out told her that she was wifey material. She checked off all the qualities I looked for in a girl. The whole time during our relationship, I thought she was madly in love with me. She even said I love you first. I was still acting nonchalant and I did not tell I her I love her yet. I could not control my emotions any longer. Not even 3 months into our relationship, I proposed to her at Cafe Moda. She rejected me. She thought I was heavily intoxicated. The joke is on her because I did not propose again after 6 years. Lol. Ever since I fell in love with her, I knew she was the one. I knew she will the mother to my children. I knew she will be the person I will grow old with. My family is now number one objective. I will always put their happiness before mine.
