We’re getting married!

The stars aligned to for us to meet.... that, and the online dating app Bumble. From there it was a coworker’s swipe and a cousin’s coercing that brought us to our first date. We laughed and talked and closed down the restaurant, little did we both know that the date would end with our last first kiss.

A year and a day after our first date we had many things to celebrate. Since that first night out, we had fallen in love, moved in together, became puppy parents and had just bought our dream home. It truly was the most exciting year and that night we had planned to do it up right with a night on the town. Just before the Uber was called, Josh called Michelle to come out to the backyard to “show her something”. With a young lab puppy the chances were high that he had done something bad, and so, hesitantly, she joined him not quite sure what she was going to find. However it was there, under the shadow of the big trees, Josh got down on one knee and asked her to marry him.

We are so excited to start this next chapter together and can’t wait to celebrate with all of our favourite people!
