Yes! This is a children friendly party.

Can we stay on the campground?

Answer

Yes! Camp and spend the night with us! We have the whole north side of the campground, which includes 15 cabins, 2 chalets, and 2 large cabins. Tents can also be set up anywhere on the grounds. Planning to camp? Let us know if you want a cabin or if you’re bringing a tent.

Do I have to camp or can I stay in a hotel?

Answer

No camping required if you’re not into it. Hanson is just 30 minutes outside of Boston and 20 minutes from the South Shore. We’ll be reserving a hotel block in the city and coordinating a shuttle for drop off/pickup for those that want to spend the weekend without camping.

I’m staying in a cabin, what do I need to bring?

Answer

We’re so happy you’re camping! You will need to bring: Bedding and towels Lanterns and flashlights Each cabin has cots and mattresses inside. A sleeping bag is ideal as it can get cold at night. There is no electricity in the cabins, but there is electricity and outlets for charging devices in the bathhouse.

I’m staying in a tent site, what do I need to bring?

Answer

We’re so happy you’re camping! You’ll want to bring all of the usual camping gear. Just remember, it can get cold at night so pack appropriately. You can set your tent up anywhere on the south side of the campground.

I’m camping, can I bring my dog?

Answer

Unfortunately not. We love furry friends, but Camp Kiwanee does not allow pets.

What about the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony is going to be small and private, happening at a different place and different date. This is a reception to celebrate!

What should I wear?

Answer

Think comfortable and casual for the outdoors, but still festive. Wear shoes for walking on dirt paths and layers for standing around the fire.

Will we be outside all night?

Answer

Nope! The party will mostly be inside the beautiful Needles Lodge with lawn games and a fire pit outside.

Will there be an after party?

Answer

The Needles Lodge will kick us out around 10pm, but the party will continue outside around the campfire and in the cabins. We highly recommend staying in a cabin or tent and enjoying the whole night with us.

What’s the parking situation?

Answer

Plenty of parking outside Needles Lodge. If you’re camping, you are allowed to drive to your site and setup.

Why is the address on Google different than the address on the invitation?

Answer

In this case, Google is wrong. The address listed there is for a private residence. The actual address is 1 Camp Kiwanee Rd, Hanson, MA 02341. DON’T USE THE ADDRESS ON GOOGLE.
