8 years to the day after our first date is when I popped the question. I'd been wanting to do it for awhile, but I waited for the perfect timing. After getting her family's blessing and consulting friends on the details, I decided to propose in a way that would catch her off guard. I asked a friend of mine to set up a "practice photoshoot" to capture our special moment at a park, just like our very first date. I honestly forgot everything I said to her but I will never forget the moment she said "yes!"
