James and I both grew up in Austin, Texas and even attended the same middle school and high school. We always circulated in the same friend group but had dated different people growing up. That being said, senior year we were both single and it was suggested to us by mutual friends that we would be great prom dates. I was so excited when James asked me to be his prom date in the hallway at Westlake high school and he has since told me the feeling was mutual. We had a blast that night together and with all our friends. After that, it was time to head off to college. I went off to Charleston, South Carolina to attend the beautiful college of charleston and James went his way to Auburn. Many years later my cousin allison was in town and asked to get on my bumble account to see who I had connected with. She is much more extroverted than me and I was hardly ever looking at it so what could it hurt to get her opinion. She quickly exclaimed, “who is James Cox??, He is so cute and has matched with you!” I was so excited to hear that because I have always thought James is so handsome and kind. I messaged him that night and i was giddy he messaged me back. I was even more impressed that he called instead of texted to reconnect and plan a date. We made plans to go to ACL that next weekend (2018) and had our first kiss listening to paul mccartney headline under the stars. It was like no time had passed and it was so natural being together. We have been inseparable since. And, in november 2019 we welcomed the most precious, meant-to-be, curious, funny and precocious baby boy named Luke. Being parents to him and being a family is by far my greatest gift from God and we are so excited to become man and wife in front of our friends and family. Thank you for being a part of our story!
