We met in a modern way. Thank you technology! After talking and texting for a few days it was time to meet up. Our first date was New Year's Day, Breakfast, my favorite meal by far... though I didn't know it at the time, he wasn't really a breakfast person. When breakfast turned into a 3 hour long afair I knew there was something special about Ja'Mere, and could see just how our connection was genuine and wonderful. He was easy on the eyes, tall and talkative... qualities I adore. After dating for a few months, I knew that this man had been brought into my life by God. God knew I needed someone that would keep me humble, be my supporter and teammate for life, but also someone who saw me and loved every silly little part of me. 2 years later, on a trip for my Birthday, Ja'Mere proposed at 10:40 PM on the 2nd of January. Our engagement was very much us... quirky, cute, and playful. We were in our Airbnb in Kentucky, exhausted from a fun and full day of hiking and discovering fun places sitting on the bed, when Ja'Mere proclaimed he had another Birthday gift for me. Now, hold on... I packed the car to come here, there were no extra bags or boxes I knew of, nothing out of the ordinary... so how in the world did this man have one more gift for me. He explained it was in a secret hiding spot, so I had to close my eyes and no peeking. WELL WHERE'S THE FUN IN THAT?? I played around for a few minutes, teasing that I was going to peek, but when I finally gave in and hid my eyes behind a pillow I was told, ok you can look now. Much to my surprise there he was, on one knee beside the bed asking me to join him as his wife for our forever! Well now we're here... so you can guess that I answered YES! Quickly and through my happy tears I crawled over in complete shock. God brought us together in HIS time, and I couldn't be more blessed and thankful for His unwaivering love for us both. We can't wait to celebrate with you all!

I was a handsome 29 year old on a dating website when I stumbled onto Michelle’s profile. I thought she looked BEAUTIFUL, so of course I swiped right. Fast forward to now we are getting married and it was all because I made her wait for that first kiss!
