Hampton Beach
We spent the 4th of July here with the boys last year. The water will still be frigid at this time of year, but posting up with a picnic and soaking up the sun is a blast. There's also a long pier w/lots of bars and restaurants. They will have fireworks on 6/25/25.
Mount Washington
Please note Mt Washington is known for extreme weather and winds & it takes about 2 hours to drive to its summit. If your car makes you, you are required to buy the notorious "this car climbed Mount Washington" bumper sticker.
Ashland Town Beach
We frequented this beautiful lake swimming spot last summer when we lived in Ashland. Free access with free parking across the street.
Cardigan Mountain State Park
This is a beautiful hike! There are two different approaches. We took the North Side, the more difficult route, even with the boys. Pack a lunch, some light layers, and enjoy the beautiful expansive views that NH has to offer.
Weirs Beach
If you come early, you can catch the famous Laconia Motorcycle Week. Bike week lasts 6/14-/6/22. Imagine a weird mix of Harley Davidson, Bourbon St, and Destin.
