When I (Michelle) first moved to Frederick I needed new flooring. While searching for flooring, I came across a Home Depot near her my place that I hadn't realize existed. As I reached the flooring department, the manager (Gabriel) assisted her and then grabbed her hand with an electrical handshake as they stared into each other's eyes for what seemed like a long pause. My heart was magically touched that day! Needless to say, I bought the flooring there. Once the flooring arrived a few weeks later, there was a complication with delivery, so Gabriel delivered it himself. A conversation started and we started dating a few months later.
The photos on this page are from engagement day. We wanted to get out of town for a weekend, so Gabriel found an AirBnB in West Virginia. The first morning, while I was taking a shower and getting ready, Gabriel left the house without my realizing and drove 20 min on the back roads to find a store with roses! Once back with the roses, he started placing petals on the floor (and little notes with directions) so that when I came out of the bathroom ready I would follow the rose petals. They led me to the TV with directions to turn on the remote and watch the YouTube he had made professing his love for me. At that moment I had a good idea what was happening! I followed all these petals out the front door, down the gravel driveway, and along the dirt road until they turned into the woods. There was a gazebo 50ft into the woods. As I arrived, Gabriel came out of the woods to great me! See picture top right of this page! What a WONDERFUL way to get a proposal!! So clever and fun! Thank you Gabriel!
