Donner Lake
Donner Lake is one of my favorite places. It holds a very special place in my heart. Donner Lake is completely open to the public. There are public piers all along the shoreline available for day use. They fill up quick, especially on a weekend but if you get there early, park on the road and walk down to a dock. Be sure to stop at Sticks Market for to-go sandwiches and snacks!
Lake Tahoe Beaches
There are public beaches all along the North shore. Parking is always a hassle so get there early.
Sierra Cloud Catamaran Cruise
Sip wine while taking in the beautiful views of the east shore of Lake Tahoe. This is a must do for those who have never seen Tahoe!
Truckee Thursdays Street Fair
If you're in town Thursday night, check out the most happening event in North Tahoe, Truckee Thursdays! Downtown Truckee is blocked off every Thursday evening for a street fair full of local vendors, food trucks and live music.
