We first met way back in 2007. I was in high school and Eric was the cool older brother of one of my best friends. Danielle (Eric's sister) and I went to high school together and played on the same volleyball team. Many times after school (and before games/practices) we would go over to her parents house. That's when I first met Eric. Standing in his parents kitchen in basketball shorts and a t-shirt and I immediately started crushing on him. Fast forward almost 10 years later.. I am living in Chicago and Eric's in Chicago on a guys weekend. We met up that night and the rest is history :) We have been together ever since!

It was my birthday weekend and we had plans to go to a piano bar with friends. Eric and I had plans to do dinner together before hand, but we hadn't set any reservations and I had no idea what he was thinking. Eric took me to dinner in Rochester Hills at Rochester Mills Brewery, where we first became "official" (12.23.2015). We had the best dinner and conversations. After dinner, we were walking down a cute path, Eric stopped and asked me, "Do you know why I brought you here?", I said, "my birthday, obviouslyyy", and that's when he stopped and said the sweetest things to me, which I immediately started crying (happy tears, of course) and in shock, he got down on one knee, and asked me to marry him. I was so ecstatic (and seriously in shock) that my initial response was "no no nooo" out of disbelief and then a quick "YES!" It was perfect in every way. And then we got to go celebrate with friends! We are so excited for this next chapter of our lives!
