We can't wait to celebrate with you!

I had just started my new job after graduating when Dave told me we were going to have lunch with his friends on Wednesday December 23rd. I agreed eager to meet his friends from college who he had told me so much about! I told Dave I got out at 1:20 that day since we had a half day. He told me we would we cutting it close to meet his friends because everyone else would be at the restaurant at one. One of the biggest things about me is that I HATE being late. I told him I would hurry home and to do his best to have them meet us later. It was 1:10 and I decided to sneak out early so we wouldn't be so late to meet his friends! I was so anxious because I had just started this job and didn't want to start on the wrong note and we would be showing up late! I rushed home and ran up the walk way so I could get changed and we could head out. I went to open the door and it was dead bolted. I was shaking at the door handle and knocking on the door thinking, "Doesn't he know we are in a rush?!" He opened the door and I saw beautiful flowers everywhere and candles lit all across the room. I was speechless! All I could get out was, "What's happening?! What's happening?!" That's when our amazing dog Skylar came over and knocked two flower vases over spilling water all around my feet. When I looked down to look at her mess Dave was on one knee asking me to marry him. He slid the ring on my shaking finger and grabbed us two glasses of champagne! We began calling loved ones and telling them the amazing news! About ten minutes after Dave put the ring on my finger he looked at me and said, "Wait, you never said yes!" That's when I truly realized how surprised and shocked I was! And as you all know, I happily said YES!
