We were lucky enough to meet through mutual friends in Washington, D.C. the summer of 2022. It all started when we began playing on the same club sand volleyball team. One day, with this mutual group of friends, we all went tubing down the Potomac River on a sunny D.C. Saturday. We had only shared some casual "heys" on the volleyball team and at some social events thus far. That day on the Potomac, we finally sparked up some conversation with each other - and what culminated later that same day was singing the night away at a karaoke bar. We started dating very soon thereafter - crediting our friends, the brews on the Potomac, and the magic of karaoke for bringing us together. Come our wedding in September, we will have been together over four years. In September of 2024, Dave's work as a USAF helicopter pilot brought him to Albuquerque, New Mexico to serve as an instructor at Kirtland Air Force base. It only made sense that I follow shortly behind and join him in New Mexico - as we both knew our futures lie together. We bought a house and now live in the lovely foothills of the Sandia Mountains in Albuquerque. During a Fourth of July trip in Sedona, Arizona, Dave proposed on July 5, 2025 atop a beautiful scenic outlook with sunlit canyons in the background (photos featured in the Gallery!) We can't wait to celebrate this next chapter of our lives with family and friends this September in Louisville!
