Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Michelle Hulquist and Chase Papenfuss
Here a just a few of the things we love to do in Hood River!
Wahclella Falls

Wahclella Falls

OR 97014

If you want the best bang for your buck waterfall, Wahclella Falls is for sure the winner. The trail is very flat and just over a mile from your car to the falls. The trailhead is located just off of I84 East, exit 40.

Latourell Falls

Latourell Falls

OR 97019

If you want to stretch your legs a little more but also take in some massive waterfalls then Latourell Falls is a fantastic hike. A 2.5 mile easy to moderate loop and another convenient trail-head located directly off of the old historic highway, which in and of itself is a piece of American history.

Multnomah Falls

Multnomah Falls

OR 97014

Multnomah Falls is the the crown jewel of the columbia river gorge, although it is also one of the busiest tourist destinations. If you can put up with the crowds then this is a must see location. This 620ft waterfall is the most visited site in Oregon and for good reason, it’s absolutely stunning.

Angels Rest

Angels Rest

OR 97019

For pure views Angels Rest is probably our favorite spot to take in a full panoramic shot of the gorge. This is a moderate hike that’s just under 5 miles round trip

Dog Mountain

Dog Mountain

WA 98605

A steeper and overall more challenging hike for some of our more adventurous guests. But the wildflowers and picturesque views make the effort well worth it!

pFriem Family Brewers

pFriem Family Brewers

707 Portway Avenue, Hood River, OR 97031
, (541) 321-0490

Killer german style focused brews with a great line of ipas, darks, and sours. Tends to be very busy, and can be hard to get a table for dinner but stop in for a pint and maybe a brewery tour.

Ferment Brewing Company

Ferment Brewing Company

403 Portway Avenue, Hood River, OR 97031
, (541) 436-3499

Located just a few buildings down from pFriem, Ferment has built one of the most aesthetically impressive buildings I’ve ever seen, let alone for a brewery! This is a huge restaurant that we’d definitely recommend for dinner. Farm to table food and an ambience that cannot be beat.

Double Mountain Brewery

Double Mountain Brewery

8 4th Street, Hood River, OR 97031
, (541) 387-0042

Home to some of the best wood fire pizza you’ll ever have and also a maker of fantastic beer.

Full Sail Brewing Company

Full Sail Brewing Company

506 Columbia Street, Hood River, OR 97031
, (541) 386-2247

One of the most commercially successful breweries in all of Oregon, Full Sail has arguably the best view of any restaurant in Hood River. Grab a table on the patio if you can!

Solstice Wood Fire Pizza - Cafe & Bar

Solstice Wood Fire Pizza - Cafe & Bar

501 Portway Avenue, Hood River, OR 97031
, (541) 436-0800

The restaurant is located directly in-between pFriem and Ferment and the food here is absolutely amazing. We wholeheartedly endorse the cocktails and pizza options!
