We are getting Married!

Brandon made a spontaneous trip to visit Florida and he met me on a Halloween weekend. We kept in touch after meeting and he had wanted to take me on a date while he was in Florida, but I said no since I had a new job interview that I was preparing for, I had promised him I would see him soon. I had told him, I was going to Colombia on vacation two weeks after meeting him and I jokingly said, “If by some spontaneous event, my trip is cancelled, I would fly to Texas to see Brandon.” That week, a hurricane stormed through Orlando and cancelled my flight to Colombia. I kept my promise and I reached out to Brandon and he asked if I was going to see him. I said, “Pick me up tomorrow at noon, I’ll see you in Texas.” Our date lasted the whole day and unfortunately, it ended quickly since I had to fly back to Florida. The small town guy with his heart on his sleeve had left an impression on my heart, and I had left an impression on him. I had travelled for one day to meet my person. Long distance was daunting, but love has no bounds and we conquered through this challenge. It has prepared us for the many challenges life will throw our way, but love and prayer will supersede all. We feel blessed to be together, and honored for our family and friends to share this memory that will commemorate our love and the beginning of our new adventure.
