FAQs

Question

Am I invited to all of the events?

Answer

Yes! Because we cannot wait to celebrate with all of our friends and family both out of town and local guests you are invited to all things wedding celebrations that weekend! Friday night is informal and a time to celebrate the beginning of an exciting weekend! Saturday is the main event…the wedding ceremony and reception! Sunday is an informal brunch thanking you for celebrating with us and closing out an incredible weekend!

Question

Can I bring a date/guest?

Answer

We unfortunately cannot accommodate additional guests. Due to limited capacity we can only allow the people named on your invitation to come.

Question

Are Kids Invited?

Answer

We love your kids—we really do. But we want our wedding to be your night off, and to make this an evening for adults! Please let us know if you'd like recommendations for baby sitters in the area.

Question

What Should I Wear?

Answer

The dress code is black tie. For men a tuxedo is welcomed, but it's not a requirement. If a tuxedo is not your style, men should wear a formal dark suit and tie instead. For women, an evening gown or fancy cocktail dress is appropriate.

Question

What will the weather be in Charleston this time of year?

Answer

HOT! HUMID! Luckily the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all be taking place inside of the beautiful Charleston Place Hotel.

Question

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

We ask that you please keep your phones away during the ceremony but feel free to snap away during the cocktail hour and reception! And if you post on social media use the hashtag #MandBSittingInATree

Question

What is a Jewish Wedding Ceremony like?

Answer

For the most part, this will be like any other wedding you've been to, but the ceremony itself will have a few distinctly Jewish elements. We will be standing under a chuppah, which represents our first home as a married couple. You will hear a combination of English reading and Hebrew text throughout the ceremony. Don't worry, all will be explained while we go through it as well as a program to help you along! It’s also a pretty short wedding ceremony- it should only take about 30 minutes total.

Question

Are there any colors I shouldn't wear?

Answer

Please do not wear white or any colors that could be photographed as white, as that color is reserved for the bride.
